Leeds United injury news: Doctor shares Georgino Rutter update
Leeds United striker Georginio Rutter is likely to miss training for another week, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert has reacted to the news that the Frenchman had to undergo a hernia surgery during the international break.
The issue had been hindering the 21-year-old for weeks, but this procedure is understood to a minor and routine one, not keeping him out for long.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Rutter: “This sounds like a relatively minor procedure based on the fact that he’s not expected to miss more than two weeks.
“Once it’s done, the key will be a gradual and methodical physio program that becomes increasingly sport-specific.
“He will be eyeing a training return by next week if all things go as per plan.“
Rutter has been among the best players for Leeds United
Rutter’s been in exceptional form for Leeds this season and has been deployed as a number 10 as well as a striker by Daniel Farke.
It’s good news that his hernia issue was not that serious as he’s an important player for Leeds in their quest to secure promotion.

Hopefully, everything goes as per plan and the attacker with 15 assists and six league goals this season, returns to the fray within the next two weeks.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites have already started scouting a defender who plans to return to England in the summer transfer window.
