Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds NewsDr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said about Lucumi: “Clubs may look closer into his thigh problem issues if they are a repeat occurrence or related, in addition to the normal checks.

“His game time throughout the course of the season has been pretty regular, so this is not a red flag.

He will take the extra time to adapt to life in the Premier League as he’s moving from Italy.

Leeds United have to find a way to beat the competition to seal Lucumi’s transfer

Leeds can outmanoeuvre competitors like Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham to sign Lucumi by leveraging their ambitious project and financial backing under the 49ers ownership.

Despite lacking European football, the Whites can offer Lucumi a guaranteed starting role at centre-back, partnering with Joe Rodon, which may not be assured at bigger clubs with deeper squads.

Their recent 100-point Championship title and £100million+ transfer budget signal a clear intent to compete in the Premier League, appealing to the South American’s desire for a prominent role at a rising club.

By highlighting Daniel Farke’s track record of developing talent and their passionate fanbase, Leeds can present an attractive long-term vision.

Offering a competitive salary and a swift deal could exploit Bologna’s willingness to sell, outpacing rivals’ hesitation and securing the 26-year-old Colombian’s signature.
