We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…

Paul Robinson will be thrilled if Marcelo Bielsa returns to the Premier League with the former Leeds United manager being linked with both Bournemouth and Everton.

On 12 November, The Guardian reported that Bielsa, 67, is in line to make a “shock return to the Premier League” with Bournemouth in talks to hire the out-of-work Argentine.

Football Insider then reported on 15 November that Everton have also shown an interest in the ex-Leeds boss amid uncertainly over Frank Lampard’s future at Goodison Park.

Bielsa has been out of work and residing in Argentina since being sacked by Leeds in February.

According to Robinson, Leeds fans won’t have an issue with Bielsa taking a job back in English football.

He claims that even if El Loco got a job at Manchester United, the Elland Road faithful would at least be understanding.

“There’d be no animosity towards Marcelo Bielsa whatsoever,” Robinson told MOT Leeds News. “The job that man did at the club will go down in legendary status forever.

There’s only one club that Leeds fans would have a problem with him going to and that’s Manchester United. But in all honesty, hand on heart, the fans would be delighted for him if he got a job of that calibre.

If he comes back to the Premier League, it’ll be great to see Bielsa back at Elland Road.”

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay has revealed the whispers he’s heard at Elland Road about when the 49ers will complete their takeover.
