Leeds United face further injury woe amid Manor Solomon injury dvelopment

Dan Bardell doesn’t believe Leeds United have enough squad depth to cope with injuries to Manor Solomon and Dan James.

On 12 September it was reported that the Wales international would miss another four weeks of action after reinjuring himself during his rehabilitation [Yorkshire Evening Post].

As well as being without the 26-year-old, Daniel Farke has confirmed, in his press conference (19 September) that there is a “question mark” over the Tottenham loanee ahead of the Cardiff City clash.

Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell thinks these injuries will leave the Whites’ squad light, especially with both stars playing in the same position.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Bardell said: “Leeds are taking a few hits at the moment.

They can’t afford to be without too many players at one time and obviously they’ve lost a few attacking players.

It’s a blow to lose Solomon because I’m not convinced they’ve got the squad depth at the moment to cover a mass of injuries.

Losing two key players who play in the same position is a blow.

Manor Solomon out for Leeds United against Cardiff City

Farke will be keen for his side to bounce back to winning ways in the Welsh capital after his side lost last time around against Burnley.

It has to be said that the Whites performed well but couldn’t make their pressure count as Solomon went off with over ten minutes to go.

It looks likely that the winger will miss the clash against Cardiff through injury which could see Largie Ramazani handed a chance from the start.

The 23-year-old doesn’t bring the experience of the Israel international but the summer signing will still be a useful deputy.

It is frustrating that Farke is without two first team regulars but over the course of the season there will be plenty of additional injury concerns for the German to deal with.
