Leeds United exclusive: Sources reveal mega Manor Solomon twist

Tottenham Hotspur attacker Manor Solomon, who spent the season at Leeds United on loan, is expected to be on the move this summer, MOT Leeds News has learned.

After an impressive stint at Elland Road, the Whites are understood to be keen on securing his services permanently this summer.

MOT Leeds News sources understand that it would cost around £17million to sign him permanently – something that the newly-promoted Premier League side are willing to pay.

Solomon does not fancy permanent move to Leeds United this summer

Marseille are understood to be hot on the heels of the Israel international after being impressed with his performances this season for Leeds, according to Sky Sports.

It is a move that he’s open to and under the current regime at Elland Road, the 25-year-old does not fancy a permanent transfer to the West Yorkshire outfit this summer, sources tell MOT Leeds News.

While things could change, Marseille are in pole position to secure his services and he’s not considering Leeds at this stage.

Manor Solomon has done well for Leeds this past season.

Solomon has been in exemplary form for the Whites this past season and has contributed to 24 per cent of their goals.

This is all the more impressive considering Joel Piroe won the Championship Golden Boot by scoring 19 goals.

Leeds may move on from Solomon pursuit

Leeds may choose to move on from pursuing Solomon’s services due to his preference for joining Marseille, which could render their efforts futile.

He’s played a pivotal role in Leeds’ Championship title win with 10 goals and 12 assists, but does like the idea of joining Marseille, a club offering Champions League football under Roberto De Zerbi, who previously coached him at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Marseille’s concrete negotiations and financial capability, bolstered by a potential windfall from selling Luis Henrique, position them strongly to meet Tottenham’s valuation.

Leeds, despite their transfer budget expected to be high post promotion, face stiff competition from a club with greater European allure and a manager Solomon trusts.

Chasing a player leaning toward Marseille risks wasting time and resources, especially as Leeds need to bolster multiple positions to ensure Premier League survival, prompting them to explore alternative targets.
