Leeds United: Doctor shares Georginio Rutter injury update v Middlesbrough

Leeds United attacker Georginio Rutter faces a very minimal risk of re-injury post his hernia procedure, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the Frenchman is likely to be back to a 100 per cent if not already completely fit.

The surgery is understood to be a minor one which was not too invasive and he was back in action after the international break.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Rutter:

Considering it was a hernia, most likely a sports hernia and only a ten day recovery, very likely a very minor arthroscopic procedure.

This was a minimally invasive snip to alleviate tension on the area.

Doubtful he was 100 per cent for the game he returned but fit enough to play.

His post surgery training was very likely a few notches below normal but he didn’t miss too much time so he wouldn’t have missed too much fitness.

However, he now might be at a 100 per cent if not close to it and minimal chances of re-injury so there wouldn’t be any specific measures taken ahead of the upcoming games.

Rutter fit enough to play 90 minutes for Leeds United v Middlesbrough

Leeds take on Middlesbrough in the Championship on Monday, 22 April, and Rutter is expected to be named in the playing eleven.

It seems that he’s ready to last the full 90 minutes as well if that’s what Daniel Farke wants and it would depend on how the game progresses.

Hopefully, the Whites can return to winning ways and attempt to finish in the top two, but things are no longer in their hands.
