Leeds United: Doctor issues Glen Kamara fitness update
Leeds United midfielder Glen Kamara may be carrying knock-on effects after his recent illness, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert has reacted to Daniel Farke’s comments on the Finland international on 1 April where he claimed Kamara had been playing through illness.
It did not affect the Whites negatively as they went on to beat Hull City 3-1 at home.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Kamara:
“Either it was not contagious, the team took precautions or they’re ok with the risk.
“The effect on performance really depends on the specifics of how bad it is and what stage it was at.
“By the looks of it, he recovered pretty quickly and there may be some lingering effects so there’s a chance of him not being at a 100 per cent yet.
“Fatigue also plays a factor.“

Kamara went on to play one half of the following game against Coventry as well which Leeds ended up losing 2-1.
He even started in the goalless draw against Sunderland on 9 April at Elland Road.

Farke has been a fan of Kamara this season, handing him 34 appearances in the league with him playing with different midfield partners.
