Leeds United: Doctor issues Charlie Crew injury update

Leeds United sensation Charlie Crew will be monitored regularly after his recent injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has stated that it’s hard to gauge the specifics of his setback as the information available is so limited.

However, there is a chance that the 17-year-old midfielder may be out for a few weeks.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Crew:

This is quite difficult to say because there’s such little information on it.

The key steps are giving him to recover – as they’ve done with him withdrawing him from international duty – and then ramping him back up appropriately.

He will now be monitored regularly and depending on how he responds, his training will be ramped up and it could even take weeks.

Leeds United will be monitoring him regularly

Crewe moved to Elland Road in the summer and has another year left on his deal, with his contract expiring in 2025.

He’s been a regular feature in the Premier League 2 squad and will eventually look to make it into the Leeds first team.

Like many youngsters, Daniel Farke will be getting regular reports on Crew and it remains to be seen if he does get a first-team call up soon.

In other Leeds United news, the club have now made moves in order to secure their first permanent transfer of the summer.
