Leeds United concerns laid bare after what has happened in Premier League

Leeds United must take notice of the failures that have occurred in the Premier League this season if they are to avoid repeating it themselves.

Heading into a crucial encounter against Swansea City, Leeds will know just how important it will be to pick up all three points and put an end to their current run of form.

Just one win in their last four has somewhat reduced Leeds’ chances of achieving promotion, though they remain in the driving seat to do it.

However, if/when that is achieved, Leeds will have a lot of work to do to avoid the failures of the three who beat them to promotion last campaign.

Leeds warning sent ahead of summer transfer window

Daniel Farke is under a lot of pressure to deliver promotion at Elland Road, and if achieved, he will need to be backed well in the summer.

Leeds will have a huge summer ahead of them, with Paul Robinson – when speaking to MOT Leeds News – highlighting why they need to be wary of what lays ahead of them.

“We know how tough the Championship is,” Robinson said. “But you look at the three that have gone up this year. We’re in March, and it’s done, they’re down.

“The bottom three are down, and it’s probably the poorest bottom three that the Premier League’s seen for a long, long time. That shows you the gap. And if anything, it should be a warning to Leeds, to Sheffield United, to Burnley, that investment is needed in the right areas and backing a manager and players being brought into the club of Premier League quality.

Leeds remain at the summit of the division

“I’ve said before about players at Leeds, like Brenden Aaronson and Junior Firpo, who’ve done well in the Championship. Not quite Premier League level for me. You have to bring in players who can cope with the Premier League.

“Recruitment and investment are vital. And the biggest warning for Leeds is that you look at the three this season. It’s been the worst three, and it’s been a really poor showing.”

Leeds have no excuse to fumble promotion from here

With eight huge games remaining, the main focus will be on cementing their spot in the Premier League before any transfer decisions are made.

But when that time comes, it needs to be done right, or else they face the prospect of dropping right back into the Championship.

Farke, having managed in the Premier League before, knows what it will take to survive if they make it there, and he will need to be backed.
