Leeds United benefit from 49ers Enterprises higher budget at Elland Road

Dan Plumley has insisted that Leeds United and the 49ers Enterprises will be pleased with their new travel plans after their incredible run in the Championship.

The Whites adopted a new plan of travelling home the day after games at an added cost after a February schedule packed with trips to Bristol, Swansea and Plymouth twice, with costs also getting ridiculous for fans.

The football finance expert admitted that Leeds could take advantage of having a higher budget than most in the Championship

“I’m sure the club will see it that way,” he exclusively told MOT Leeds News.

“We spoke about it and the reasons behind it, and it being more from a player recovery kind of things and getting them back to bed at a more reasonable time and how that works from a sports science point of view.

Of course, that comes at an associated cost, but when you look back and reflect on that, we knew the club were planning to do it and they knew the costs.

We said at the time, that they were in a good position to do that because their budget is a lot higher than other Championship clubs so you take that advantage where you can, and if you’re coming off the back of eight wins in eight, I’m sure the club will look back and go that was the right decision to do that.”

The 49ers are working their magic quietly at Elland Road and in England, with their master plan of taking off further in America also underway.
