Leeds United backed to sign Ryan Kent after shock contract development

David Norris is on board with the idea of Ryan Kent moving to Leeds United as a free agent, despite their attacking options.

The winger, 28, is available on a free transfer having mutually terminated his four-year contract with Fenerbahce after just 16 months.

Leeds have been linked recently to becoming the next club to acquire his services, and former midfielder Norris has joined in on mulling over the idea.

“Kent is another player, if they signed him, who Leeds would have that can play across the whole of that attacking line,” he exclusively told MOT Leeds News.

“They need to maintain that creativity, but I’m not sure they need another player in that position.

“Having said that, he is a good player. If there’s a chance to do it, they should look into it.”

If Leeds were to take a punt on Kent, they would be signing their second free agent of the season following their move for Josuha Guilavogui.

Kent played over 200 times for Rangers before departing Ibrox for his Turkish move, and began his career at Liverpool where he made a singular first-team appearance.

The forward only played 19 times in total for Fenerbahce in a forgettable stint, as he is now backed for a return to the UK.
