Leeds United ‘avoid huge injustice’ after 49ers Enterprises decision
Daniel Farke seemed to be facing an uncertain future at Leeds United.
Despite guiding the Whites to the Championship title this season, doubts still emerged over Farke’s future at Elland Road.
The German has won just six of the 49 matches that he has managed in the Premier League. As a result, there was some concern in West Yorkshire.

49ers back Farke to succeed at Leeds United
The 49ers were reportedly considering replacing Farke. However, that speculation was put to bed by Paraag Marathe.
The Whites’ chief publicly reassured Farke that his position was safe heading into Leeds’ first Premier League campaign since the 2022/23 season.
Championship | Played | GD | Points |
C. Leeds | 46 | +65 | 100 |
2. Burnley | 46 | +53 | 100 |
And iconic commentator Ian Darke – speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News – believes the decision on Farke can be the catalyst for a successful stint in the top-flight.
“I think they have made the right decision,” Darke said.
“I don’t think there would have been a riot if they had got rid of Farke. However, it would have been a huge injustice. I know his record as a Premier League boss hasn’t been great in the past.
“However, maybe he will learn plenty from that, and I think with these new owners around now, there will be a little bit more for him to spend, and improve the squad.
“They have got the new stadium plans, it looks like they are being set up to become established members of the Premier League.”
Leeds get it right with Farke decision
Imagine the embarrassment if the Peacocks had sacked Farke and then been relegated with a new man in charge like Jose Mourinho.
The current incumbent should at the very least be given the chance to sign new players and have another crack at the elite level.
Farke may well end up proving the doubters wrong and thriving; that would be the best outcome for the Yorkshiremen.
With their plans to expand the stadium and the might of the American owners behind them, the Whites could make their latest stay in the top division a long one.
