Leeds United are their own worst enemy in Championship title push

Leeds United are their own biggest threat in looking to gain promotion this season, according to David Norris.

The former Whites midfielder, speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, says Daniel Farke’s side struggle at times to break down a certain level of opponent.

Leeds can return to the summit of the table with a win on Wednesday night [27 November] over Luton Town at Elland Road.

“It’s probably going to come from in-house more than anything else, I don’t think they need to be worried too much about other teams,” Norris explained.

“I think Leeds’ biggest problem is Leeds at times. There are times when they struggle to break opponents down, and struggle against sides who sit deep and play on the break.

“Maybe they just need a little bit more about them against counter-attacking sides, not take their foot off the gas, and they can prove they’re a Championship-winning team.”

Leeds United looking for consistent run

Leeds United are aiming for consistency, which in turn wins titles. Victory over Luton would make it three successive wins, while January is eagerly anticipated for the transfer market.

Sheffield United and Burnley are also enjoying good spells of form, while Sunderland have now drawn their last five, and West Brom have fallen out of the top six after drawing yet again.
