Leeds United ace Max Wober fitness may not improve until summer amid injury blow

Leeds United defender Max Wober may be facing a cartilage issue as he’s currently out with a knee injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that it could be something that does not get rectified until the end of the season as the Austrian defender will need time for it to heal.

This comes after Daniel Farke explained that he faced a slight setback with his knee as he’s facing a long-standing issue in that area.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Wober: “It’s difficult to say what the exact issue but it’s clearly something where the load has to be managed or there will be significant swelling.

Might be some sort of cartilage issue that can’t be rectified until the summer when there’s an off-season.

It makes sense for the club to be methodical with his return as they do not want a long-term injury setback.

Leeds United must be careful with Max Wober

It seems like the Austrian’s knee is extremely sensitive so it makes sense for the Whites to avoid aggravating it further.

He’s not likely to be ready for the Stoke City clash on Boxing Day and it remains to be seen if he’s fit for the one against Derby County on 29 December.

Hopefully, the 26-year-old’s fitness does not deteriorate in the new year and he can be available in Leeds’ promotion push.
