Leeds ‘to seal Premier League survival’ with Tammy Abraham signing
Leeds United have been linked with a sensational summer swoop for AC Milan’s loanee Tammy Abraham in a bid to secure Premier League survival.
Of course, the main focus for Leeds has to be securing promotion from the Championship, which, after a 3-1 win against Sheffield United, looks rather likely.
Daniel Farke’s side are in pole position to achieve a Premier League return, sitting five points clear of second-placed Sheffield United heading into the final 12 games of the season.
Plans have already been drafted for the summer, with Abraham one of those players linked with a switch to Elland Road.

Paul Robinson backs Leeds to sign Abraham
While Joel Piroe has demonstrated his ability throughout the current campaign, Leeds will still likely be in the market for a new striker in the summer window.
Abraham, given that he knows what it takes in the Premier League, would be a remarkable signing and one that Paul Robinson has backed Leeds to complete when speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News.
“They need a number nine,” explained Robinson.
“I mean, you look at what they’ve got. Patrick Bamford’s been stop-start, mostly stop this year. Injuries, he’s not been able to get in the team. Mateo Joseph’s a top striker. They turned down a big bid from Real Betis in the window for Joseph. For me, he’s the best out of a lot of them, but he doesn’t score goals.
2024/25 Season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Tammy Abraham | 33 | 8 | 4 |
“Joel Piroe plays up there. He’s led the line. He’s got the goals this season. But actually, you look as an out-and-out recognised number nine, somebody like Tammy Abraham would be a great fit.
“He’s on loan at the moment, but his contract’s up at the end of the season. So if he’s going out on loan now with his contract up at the end of the season, you would think he’s got no future at his parent club. So a signing like that would be a statement signing for Leeds as well because he’s a quality player in an area of the field that Leeds need.”

Leeds ready to show ambition in the summer
If Leeds are to avoid relegation from the Premier League, smart decisions need to be made and the signing of Abraham would certainly fit that bill.
The former Chelsea striker is a regular for AC Milan in the Champions League, having joined Roma for a reported £34million [BBC Sport] before moving to his current side on loan.
If the Whites are able to pull this signing off, it would be a remarkable start to the window.
