Leeds ‘to seal Manor Solomon signing’ in fresh transfer claim – Exclusive

Manor Solomon has been a key component of this Leeds United team, and his stay may not be over yet.

In case you weren’t aware, Leeds sealed their promotion back to the Premier League with an emphatic 6-0 hammering of Stoke City on Easter Monday.

The pressure has been on Daniel Farke all season to deliver that for the Whites, and they did that in style in front of the home support.

However, with the ambitions now achieved, Leeds will turn their attentions to the summer transfer window, where they will have a lot of work to do.

Solomon could stay at Leeds next season

Leeds have already showcased the fact that they want to keep Solomon at Elland Road next season, and Paul Robinson has echoed those sentiments, while highlighting what else they need to do in the summer.

Speaking to MOT Leeds News, he said: “The gap between the top of the Championship and the Premier League is huge. For me, I’d like to see Manor Solomon made into a permanent deal. I think he’s been a great player for Leeds this season.

Solomon has been crucial for Leeds this season.

“I think a goalkeeper is going to be a priority going into the start of next season. Junior Firpo, obviously, is out of contract. He struggled in the Premier League last time. Aronson struggled in the Premier League last time.

“There are going to be certain players in certain positions that the manager needs. Do you need reinforcements in that area? Yes. I say you need to almost look at every single position in the team, and you buy better than what you’ve got, because that’s what the Premier League is.

Leeds need to get recruitment right this summer

First and foremost, it remains to be seen whether Farke stays at Leeds next season, but if he does, he needs to be backed.

As showcased by the three relegated teams, the jump from Championship to Premier League is huge, and without smart recruitment, you don’t stand a chance of survival.
