Leeds ‘to consider Illan Meslier sale’ after what Daniel Farke has done – Exclusive
Illan Meslier has had a nightmare season with Leeds United and has been a reason behind many of their dropped points.
Leeds have hit a bump in their promotion bid, with the latest 1-1 draw away to Luton preventing them from adding to their one win from the last six Championship encounters.
As a result, Daniel Farke’s men have a significantly lower chance of promotion, which could have been rectified weeks ago had the German made the decisions that everyone knew were needed.
With six games to go, the pressure is on Farke to deliver promotion, though regardless of that success, the Whites could offload Meslier.

Meslier has no future at Leeds United
Meslier has now lost his place at Leeds after Farke opted to drop him for the Luton clash, and it feels like that is the beginning of the end for him at Elland Road.
Paul Robinson, when speaking to MOT Leeds News, thinks that his contract situation could leave Leeds with a decision to make.
Championship | Games played | Points |
Burnley | 40 | 84 |
Sheffield United | 40 | 83 |
Leeds | 40 | 82 |
He said: “I think the manager’s backed him. He’s backed him and backed him. You can’t criticise the manager for doing that because he wants to get the best out of his players.
“He’s started every game. I think his contract is up at the end of next season as well, so that’s something that the club may be looking at. He makes great saves, but the errors really cost Leeds.
“I think they missed out in January at both ends of the pitch. We said they didn’t spend anything in January, and if they don’t go up, that’ll be the stick that’s used to beat them. If they do go up, that’s what they need to address in the summer.“

Farke is running out of time at Leeds
If Leeds fail to get promoted automatically, it would be a failure. If Leeds fail to get promoted, it would be a catastrophe, and one that would undoubtedly get Farke sacked.
Six huge games remain for Leeds, and they need to find a way to win all of them to keep promotion in their own hands.
