Leeds face medical issues as they make approach to sign Mehdi Taremi
Leeds United have been linked with a move for Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi this summer.
Daniel Farke is keen on signing a number nine who can lead the line consistently for the Whites in the upcoming campaign.
Patrick Bamford is likely to leave Leeds and Lukas Nmecha, while capable of playing as a striker, has not been brought in as a regular starter.

This story includes exclusive opinion from injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist.
Leeds United may take closer look at Taremi’s adductor injuries
Taremi, 33, played 26 Serie A games last season, but found the back of the net just once and missed four games in all competitions because of an adductor injury.
The Whites will want to see if the Iran international’s injury sustained last season is a repeat one, before making a decision to sign him, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
Taremi | Games | Goals | Assists |
Porto | 182 | 91 | 56 |
Inter | 43 | 3 | 9 |
Speaking about Taremi, Dr Brar told MOT Leeds News: “Leeds may take a closer look at his adductor injuries, namely, if it’s a repeat injury and if surgery may be required.
“This is particularly the case for sports hernias.
“If he needs surgery, it could throw a spanner in the works of any potential transfer.
“At 33, age is also not on his side, moving to a league as intense as the Premier League.”
Leeds have already made an approach for Taremi as they want to bring in a new forward.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reported in its newspaper edition on 23 July, page 4, that he earns £50,000 a week at Inter and could leave this summer.

Farke must push for an upgrade on Taremi
Taremi, at 33, is not the ideal striker for Leeds United’s fight to avoid Premier League relegation.
His underwhelming stint at Inter Milan raises concerns about his adaptability to the Premier League’s physicality and pace.
The Elland Road outfit, under Farke, need a younger, dynamic forward to complement their high-energy system and replace departing players like Patrick Bamford and potentially Mateo Joseph.
Taremi’s high wages and short-term impact could strain finances without guaranteeing consistent goals.
Younger, Premier League-proven strikers would better suit Leeds’ need for long-term stability and immediate impact to secure their top-flight status.
