Keith Hackett reacts to Jayden Bogle controversy as QPR rage v Leeds United

Queens Park Rangers were left furious as Leeds United came from behind to draw 2-2 in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Firpo thought he had scored at the end of the first half, but it went down as a Morgan Fox own-goal, although the home side believed there was an offside involved.

Jayden Bogle was at the back post but didn’t get involved in play, and the defender went onto score the equaliser after Koki Saito and Steve Cook had scored twice.

Leeds huffed and puffed towards the end at Loftus Road, but missed several chances to only leave with one point.

QPR wrong after pathetic complaints

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Keith Hackett has reacted to the footage, hailing Bogle for not getting involved at the back post.

The ex-PGMOL chief waved away the furious protests that followed the Leeds goal, with the officials praised.

Good goal and a very good decision from the assistant referee not to flag,” Hackett said.

Whilst in an offside position, that is not an offence unless he becomes active and interferes with an opponent.

“It was going in and he did well not to play it. Had he touched the ball, then he would be given offside.”

Daniel Farke must take Leeds United blame

Despite having an embarrassment of riches available to him in his squad, Daniel Farke decided to stick with the exact same starting side which has clear holes.

Brenden Aaronson has not been good enough for weeks and is crying out for a rest, but yet he started and cost his side all three points.

Willy Gnonto and Largie Ramazani have been chomping at the bit to be involved more heavily from the bench, yet lack of rotation is really starting to hurt Leeds.

With only five points from their last available 12, the Whites will just about cling onto top spot in the Championship going into the last international break of the season.

Portsmouth – 1 Leeds – 0

This two-week break is needed desperately, and Farke needs to rethink some things or risk throwing away promotion to the Premier League, yet again.
