Jaka Bijol concern emerges as he undergoes Leeds United medical
Leeds United are hoping to make Udinese centre-back Jaka Bijol their second signing of the summer transfer window.
Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed the Slovenian’s fitness record and has explained the ramifications of signing him.
Bijol has already said goodbye to his Udinese teammates as he appears set to leave the Serie A club.

Leeds United may be take a look at Bijol’s ankle injury history
While the 26-year-old is not expected to fail his medical, Dr Brar believes that the Whites may take a closer look at his ankle sprain history.
Bijol is set to undergo his Leeds medical on Wednesday, 18 June, as the two clubs aim to strike an agreement. (Beren Cross)

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said about Bijol: “Leeds may take a closer look at his ankle sprain history, but nothing overt otherwise.
“They will also need to understand the mental aspect of his move from a new country and help him adapt to the physical demands of the Premier League.
“While he’s not expected to fail his medical, it may take him a few weeks of the new season before he’s fully acclimatised.”

Daniel Farke must gradually ramp up Bijol’s minutes
It makes sense for Daniel Farke not to rush Bijol into playing regularly next season.
As he’s moving to a new league, the adaptation will take some time so he could be used as a substitute for the first two games before being handed starts regularly.
He’ll also be the ideal partner to Joe Rodon and it’s going to be important that the two quickly form a solid partnership as the strikers in the Premier League can be unforgiving.
Hopefully, Farke helps Bijol adapt and he can become one of the most important players next season, helping Leeds United avoid relegation.
The Udinese centre-back has proven his reliability in the Serie A, but the Premier League is an entirely different ball game.
