Jack Harrison ‘could seek Leeds United return’ under one condition this summer

Jack Harrison is currently out on loan at Everton, having departed Leeds in 2023.

The future of Harrison has come under question for several months, though a permanent decision will likely be made this summer, though it could hinge on whether Leeds achieve promotion.

As it stands, Leeds are in the driving seat to do that, though with nine games still to go, plenty of twists and turns will emerge from the Championship.

Harrison was linked with a move to Fulham in the winter, though any move failed to materialise, and as it stands, his future remains up in the air.

Leeds return could be an option for Harrison

While Leeds’ focus will be on promotion for the time being, they will have to pay some attention to the decisions that will be required in the summer.

One of those is regarding the future of Harrison, which Paul Robinson thinks lies elsewhere.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Robinson said: “I think the way he left it’d be very difficult [to return].

“I think since David Moyes has come in, he’s played the majority of the games. Interesting stat about Jack, before the Wolves game, he was the player in the Premier League who had the highest XG in the whole Premier League who hadn’t scored or assisted. And he put that right against Wolves.

“Will he want to come back to Leeds? Only if they’re in the Premier League. Will Leeds take him back? Yes, he would be a good addition to the squad.

“Daniel Farke’s proven that he’s done that. You look at Wober, you look at Aaronson this season. He’s brought them back against maybe some feeling that the fans had at the start of the season. So, is the door closed for him? No, the door’s not closed.

“Can I see a return realistically? No, I think his future lies elsewhere.”

Farke may want to keep Harrison at Leeds

Once again, whether Leeds get promoted or not will alter any decision that they make ahead of the summer transfer window, but eyes will still be on it.

Harrison has had a troubled season at Everton, though Farke may be keen on bringing him back if Leeds achieve promotion, given the experience that he has in that league.

Only time will tell where the future lies for the winger.
