Jack Harrison ‘more motivated than ever’ after what he’s done away from Leeds

Jack Harrison is raring to go when his big Leeds United chance finally arrives.

The 28-year-old has so far been restricted to six substitute Premier League appearances since returning to Elland Road from his back-to-back Everton loan spells.

Harrison played the final 23 minutes of Leeds’ 2-1 loss to Tottenham before the international break, with that cameo appearance pretty much a theme throughout the campaign.

While the former England Under-21 international has totalled just 131 minutes of top-flight action this season, Harrison has shown he is worthy of a Leeds start.

And Harrison has certainly done his bit during the international break to show Daniel Farke he is fit and firing ahead of the return of club action.

Jack Harrison put through his paces in Marbella training camp

For those players not on international duty, a few days of the two-week hiatus away from Leeds action is set aside to relax abroad.

That was not the case for Harrison, who spent time with a personal trainer in Marbella last week. The winger later uploaded images to his personal Instagram account.

And Harrison’s personal trainer, Ethan Sonis, has exclusively revealed to MOT Leeds News that the former Manchester City player is now more motivated than ever to prove himself at Leeds all over again.

Sonis, the owner of the training company Statsoccer, said: “We worked on certain things in his game and ensured he’d be sharp for when the opportunity of his comes.

“We are working on key areas of his game in order for him to help the group when the time comes. He has been more motivated then ever to help the group and contribute to Leeds.

“He wants to show why he is a top-class player. Being Argentine, my sessions are very passionate and intense and push him and he always excels.

“He wants to make sure that when his time comes on the field, he will be able to contribute and help the group get valuable points.

“The big thing for me from all this, for everyone to know, is he is more motivated then ever and is staying sharp as his time is approaching.”

Harrison could get chance to shine vs Burnley

There has been talk of a possible Leeds exit for Harrison next year, but that will all change if he is able to make an impact.

Twenty minutes here and there is better than no minutes at all, but Harrison is not being given much of a chance to show what he is capable of.

Harrison’s record since 2021

Harrison will point to the 16 goals and 12 assists he registered combined in the 2021-22 and 2022-23 campaigns as to what he is capable of.

Farke has seen numerous players head off for international duty, including Brenden Aaronson, whose place in the side to face Burnley is surely most at risk.

It may well be that with Harrison looking in peak condition, and more importantly back at the Thorp Arch training base this week, he is given his first start of the season this coming weekend.

If that happens, it is then down to Harrison to show he is worthy of retaining his spot in the side at this crucial point in the campaign.
