Jack Harrison is ‘highly unlikely’ to play for Leeds United or Everton next season
Paul Robinson believes it is “highly unlikely” that Jack Harrison returns to Leeds United even if they succeed in reaching the Premier League.
The former star winger has spent the season on loan at Everton after exercising the loan-release clause in his contract last summer in the wake of relegation.
But ex-England keeper Robinson doesn’t expect the Toffees to keep him long-term either in light of their financial predicament.
The pundit is more concerned with what fee the Whites could command to sell the 27-year-old, given a return to the Premier League would provide a stronger negotiating position for any Elland Road departures this summer.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News he said: “The biggest thing for Leeds, in all aspects of everything, not just the football side of things, is getting to the Premier League.
“If Jack Harrison is to go, which it’s looking likely he is, the value of Jack Harrison as a Premier League player rather than a Championship player, it’s night and day, completely different.
“What Daniel Farke’s done with the team, if they get into the Premier League with that squad, whether Jack Harrison is going to be a part of it, it’s looking highly unlikely, moving to Everton, that also looks unlikely with the FFP and the financial rules that are looking over Everton.“

Premier League return crucial to Leeds United as Jack Harrison tipped to leave permanently
If the Whites fail to get promoted then it is believed that Harrison could secure a second season on loan, which potentially would open the door to an Everton stay.
He was one of the more disappointing departures after Farke’s arrival as a stronger performer last term despite relegation and one the 49ers particularly wanted to stay.
But after a bizarre episode which also saw him sold to now-Championship title rivals Leicester just over a year ago it now looks like his time spent on Merseyside has probably brought his Leeds United career to an end, but where he ends up next year is still to be determined.
