Jack Harrison could walk out on Leeds United after transfer reveal – Sky pundit

We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United...

Jack Harrison will be “tempted” to quit Leeds United this summer amid speculation linking him with a move away from Elland Road, according to Paul Robinson.

The Telegraph reported on 24 May that Harrison, 25, is “weighing up his options” at the Yorkshire club with 90min reporting a day later that Everton, Newcastle and West Ham are keen on him.

Harrison has been a mainstay of the Leeds starting line-up for four years after initially joining on loan from Manchester City in 2018 before his move was made permanent in 2021.

Despite his senior role at Leeds, Robinson feels as though Harrison could be lured away from Elland Road in order to play for a team higher up the table or in Europe.

“Yes, I think so. I think he will be tempted,” Robinson told MOT Leeds News.

Harrison’s had a good season.

He’s been hampered by injury but has played at times through the pain barrier when people didn’t know that he was injured.

He’s given a lot of commitment to the cause this year and at times, he’s probably played when he shouldn’t have done.

But I think his form’s been excellent and I can understand why he’s wanted at those clubs.

Newcastle are going in the right direction and Tottenham have Champions League football next year so both will be appealing to him.

If he does get the option to go there, Leeds will have to do everything they can to try and hold onto him.

From the player’s point of view, you can see why he would be tempted away.”

Harrison has made 166 appearances in all competitions for Leeds, scoring 28 goals and supplying 22 assists.

His goals in the second half of the 2021/22 season proved to be vital in keeping the Whites in the Premier League with his final-day strike at Brentford earning his side a 2-1 win to keep them up.

In other Leeds United news, this club is powerless to stop Leeds from signing their star player at a discounted price.
