'Huge boost' – Exclusive: Paul Robinson thrilled as 'massive' Leeds ace set for return this week
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson says that the imminent return of Pablo Hernandez is a “huge boost” for Leeds United.
Leeds’ creative maestro has been out for the last three games but, ahead of Monday night’s game against Arsenal, manager Marcelo Bielsa confirmed that he would be back in training this week.
Talking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Robinson said, “It will be a huge boost for Leeds to have Hernandez back, although I don’t think they’ve struggled too much without him – they scored five at Birmingham.
“Saying that though, Hernandez is a huge player for Leeds, he’s very important to what they do and he seems to be an automatic pick for the manager.
“To have a player like Hernandez coming back when other teams are losing players through injuries and suspensions, it’s always a huge boost.

“He’s a massive player and this is such an important time of the season for Leeds.”
This isn’t the first time Hernandez has been injured this season. He missed six games earlier in the season and at 34-years-old he obviously needs managing carefully.
Leeds play Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday and Hernandez could be in line to make the bench.
Leeds resume the Championship on top of the league and with a nine-point buffer back to Brentford in third.
Sheffield Wednesday are 13 points back in eighth place.
