Finance Expert: Leeds United set for more exposure from Amazon documentary on Kalvin Phillips
We’re delighted to welcome football finance expert Dr Daniel Plumley as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United...
Dan Plumley has insisted that Leeds United are set for even more exposure from Amazon as they plan for another documentary, this time on Kalvin Phillips.
The Finance Expert admitted that all exposure can be good exposure with no bad PR set to come from the Yorkshire Pirlo after his “huge” move to Manchester City.
It was reported by the Daily Mail that Phillips, who has spent 95% of his professional career at Elland Road will have that documented in the latest string of popular series.
“Putting in people’s minds and the association makes it relevant,” he exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“It goes back to that point that all exposure is good exposure in many ways and there is no such thing as bad PR at times. I think you can file this one under similar areas, if you look at the exposure maybe from people watching that who are not aware of his back story, what they’re going to see is the fact that he was brought through the Leeds system, he was very successful at Leeds and they were very good to him.
“He has gone on to be an established England international, he’s had a huge move to Manchester City who are probably the biggest club in the world at the minute, in that regard in terms of exposure.
“When you start to add those things up, it is good exposure for the club indirectly, probably more so from a people’s eyes on screen perspective.”
There is no doubt that Leeds will get some say in this given that it is talking about Phillips’ rise to the very top, with most of that at Elland Road.
Whatever fans may think of his exit in the summer, he is still loved around West Yorkshire and there is no doubt that we will likely be tuning in when it is released.
