FA to ‘investigate Largie Ramazani’ after what he did in Leeds United win v Sunderland

Largie Ramazani could face trouble after Leeds United somehow pulled off a 2-1 victory against Sunderland at Elland Road on Monday, Keith Hackett says.

Two late goals from Pascal Struijk were enough to seal a huge three points on 17 February, sending Daniel Farke’s men seven points clear of Burnley in third.

Emotions were high throughout, with celebrations causing mass scuffles between both sets of players on the pitch at full-time in LS11.

The Belgian came off the bench to help secure three points against the Mackems and immediately celebrated in the face of Luke O’Nien after the goal.

After the full-time whistle, Ramazani was then spotted goading Dan Neil causing another confrontation which the home fans loved.

Hackett insists that the celebrations and scuffles that followed will be investigated by the FA, with the possibility of it being included in the post-match report.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, the ex-PGMOL chief admits it will be interesting to see if Stuart Attwell or his officials spotted the incidents.

“This incident will be investigated by The Football Association,” Hackett said.

It will be interesting to see if any of the match officials witnessed the incident and included it in their special incident report form.”

Largie Ramazani set for Premier League

This is exactly the kind of passion that cannot be sucked out of the game.

If players cannot celebrate a 95th-minute winner in such a huge showdown, when can they?

Leeds will next travel to Sheffield United knowing that another win could make all of the difference as the Whites look to get back to the Premier League as soon as possible.

With Farke even booked in the celebrations, with a touchline ban to come at Bramall Lane next week, he will let any over-enthusiasm slide back at Thorp Arch before getting straight back down to business.

Ramazani made a good difference off the bench, and he will have to keep doing that if he wants to earn his starting place back at Elland Road, hopefully without retrospective punishment.
