FA investigation mooted after what Leeds United fans did recently
Leeds United will only be investigated by The FA for fans singing anti-Palestine songs if they are reported, Keith Hackett has said.
The Whites have condemned their fans after chants on Manor Solomon in the 2-0 win at Stoke on 26 December included lyrics on Palestine [iNews].
Hackett, an ex-FIFA referee and former PGMOL chief admitted that it is likely the matter will be dealt with in an exchange of letters between the club and governing body.
“If this matter is reported to The FA then it will be investigated,” he said.
“It is up to the home club to ensure that their security is robust enough to deal with these situations.
The FA to investigate Leeds United?

Leeds United fans are as passionate as they come, but this goes beyond that line and there isn’t a place for it within the four walls of a football stadium.
Fans have the right to chant about their players after spending their hard-earned money, whether positive or negative, but this is too far and the club could be punished because of it.
On the pitch, Daniel Farke will have been delighted with the win at the Bet365 Stadium which took his side back to the top of the Championship with Derby up next on 29 December.
Joel Piroe scored twice to secure the three points with a short turnaround until the club returns to action with another packed away following at Pride Park.
