Exclusive: Leeds United to be fined after lifting Championship trophy
Leeds United finally sealed the Championship title after a nervy afternoon at Plymouth.
The Whites travelled south on Saturday afternoon, knowing that a win would guarantee the silverware, but they made very hard work of a 2-1 victory.
Plymouth took the lead after a Sam Byram own-goal, but Willy Gnonto equalised early in the second half before Manor Solomon finally scored the winner in the dying minutes.

Leeds United set for new punishment
As Solomon curled home the winner, the away end and bench erupted at Home Park, as substitutes streamed down the pitch to celebrate, with Police covering the area heavily.
Keith Hackett has insisted that the authorities will not be happy with the celebrations, which will be reported once normal service resumes.
The ex-FIFA official and PGMOL chief believes a fine will be on the way already.
“The authorities will not be happy with the Subs running on the pitch,” Hackett said.
“The matter will be reported, and a fine is on its way.”

Paraag Marathe will not care
The American was in attendance at Home Park and even walked the Championship title out before it was lifted, celebrating with the fans and giving it a kiss.
A fine from the EFL will be the last thing on his mind, and he will be delighted to get this over the line ahead of another huge takeover at Rangers, it seems.
Farke was his calm, usual self, but many believed that his actions highlighted someone who had just managed his final game at a club.
Thankfully, for him, it ended with magnificent scenes, if it was his final one in charge.

Leeds and the 49ers Enterprises have all eyes on the Premier League already, though, and transfer plans are about to be finalised with meetings planned.
Even if some members of this squad leave in the summer, they will have these memories forever after finally getting over the line to lift this Championship title.
