Exclusive: 'Outstanding' – Paul Robinson hails impact of Leeds 22y/o who is full of confidence

We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…

Paul Robinson has hailed the impact of winger Jack Harrison in recent weeks and says the 22-year-old attacker is full of confidence and offers Leeds “something else”.

Harrison scored in the first game of the season against Bristol City but didn’t provide any further attacking returns until the game against Millwall in October.

He’s now scored in consecutive games and has three goals and four assists to his name.

Talking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Robinson said, “Harrison has been very key to what Leeds have done over the last couple of weeks.

“I think it’s the creativity in general and obviously it’s something the manager has been working on because it’s well-known that they’ve dominated games but they’ve not had enough clear chances nor have they converted them.

So it’s something they’ve been working on, but Harrison has been outstanding. He creates, he scores, he offers Leeds something else and as a young player like that, confidence is a huge thing and you can see the amount he is currently playing with.”

Leeds have struggled for goals at Elland Road this season and failed to score more than one in any home game until the QPR clash two weeks ago.

Leeds scored twice then and got another two in the 2-1 win against Blackburn last Saturday, which also marked four consecutive home wins.
