MOT Leeds News conducted an exclusive interview with Leeds Live journalist Beren Cross, getting his views on the biggest talking points from Elland Road…

Beren Cross has detailed the possible upgrades that will take place at Elland Road should Leeds United earn promotion to the Premier League.

The facilities at Elland Road have come under scrutiny recently, with both Patrick Bamford and Helder Costa blaming the floodlights for their missed chances in the 1-1 draw against Luton.

Cross has shared that the media facilities will be overhauled, as well as a major upgrade for the famous West Stand.

It is suggested that the West Stand could be taken to a similar height to the East Stand, which would significantly increase the capacity.

Talking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Cross said, "Thankfully for us in the media, the press facilities would get a complete overhaul if the club was promoted."

"For the fans, you may not see a great deal immediately change, but as Kinnear has said, if they establish themselves in the top flight, that West Stand needs upgrading and could be taken to a height similar to the East Stand."

Angus Kinnear has spoken about the upgrades that could happen at Elland Road, and he has made it no secret over what could happen.

The Whites' chief executive confirmed the upgrades for the media facilities, as well as the floodlights, are already in place, although they are only set to happen if Leeds reach the Premier League.

Andrea Radrizzani has been proactive since taking the reigns at Elland Road, and the Italian is clearly eager to keep that going past this season.
