Ethan Ampadu return ‘Massive’ for Leeds United after new developments
Ethan Ampadu returning early from injury would be “Massive” for Leeds United, David Norris has said.
The Whites skipper is nearing a return sooner than expected having been ruled out since 28 September, chomping at the bit to come back into Daniel Farke’s side.
Former Leeds midfielder Norris acknowledges while the club have dealt well with his absence, Ampadu will help raise the game of his side who currently sit third in the Championship.
“Ampadu is a big leader for them, a senior player. It would be massive for Leeds for him to return earlier,” he exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“The results haven’t been catastrophic since he’s been out, but I feel like at times they’ve missed his presence.
“When you get to Christmas and beyond, he’ll be really appreciated if he’s back fit and firing.”

When Ampadu first sustained his knee injury, it appeared bad news – that he would be sidelined until the New Year.
But recent developments have emerged that could see the Welsh international come back sooner, as Farke revealed [Yorkshire Evening Post, 5 November] that he was back running on the training pitch at Thorp Arch.

The 24-year-old was made club captain at Elland Road just a year after joining from Chelsea and has already clocked up 58 appearances in the white shirt.
