Ethan Ampadu could exit Leeds United as transfer bid on the cards
Ethan Ampadu is just one of a number of Leeds United players at risk of leaving Elland Road this summer, Paul Robinson has said.
The Whites signed the 23-year-old Welshman on a £7million deal from Chelsea last summer, as per BBC Sport, putting pen to paper on a four-year contract and becoming a key figure under Daniel Farke.
However, with the ongoing financial situation at Elland Road, and the club likely needing to sell some important stars this summer, Robinson – speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News – has targeted Ampadu as a possible transfer.
“It’s a difficult summer. Everybody knows the financial situation that Leeds are in this summer, and everyone knows that they’re still in the Championship,” Robinson said.
“They also know that there is a bundle of top-quality talents who nearly made it to the Premier League. So, it’s going to be an uncomfortable summer to be a Leeds fan with the transfer market.
“Players such as Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville, Ampadu, Gnonto, everyone is susceptible to a bid. If the right bid comes in, Leeds don’t currently have the staying power to reject these bids.
“Ampadu is one of a number of players who is susceptible to a decent-sized bid and could leave the club. It’s not going to be a comfortable summer.”
Could Ethan Ampadu already be leaving Leeds United this summer?
While the likes of Summerville, Gnonto and Gray are the bigger names in the shop window this summer, Ampadu has proven to be a very reliable and adaptable player, which could be what seals his exit.

The natural midfielder, turned defender by Farke, has made 54 appearances for the Whites since making the move from Stamford Bridge last summer, even being handed the captain’s armband towards the end of the season.
In other Leeds United news, Don Goodman has made a promotion prediction if a certain Daniel Farke development plays out.
