Don Goodman unimpressed as withering Brenden Aaronson verdict shared at Leeds United

Don Goodman has been unimpressed by what he has seen from Brenden Aaronson so far at Leeds United this season.

Aaronson returned to Elland Road in the summer after spending last season on loan with Bundesliga side Union Berlin.

The United States international has started 10 of Leeds’ 12 Championship games so far this term, coming off the substitutes’ bench in the other two.

However, with just one goal involvement across his past six outings, Goodman is expecting to see more from the versatile attacker.

“Aaronson is the one forward I’d want a little bit more from at Leeds,” he told MOT Leeds News.

“Willy Gnonto, Largie Ramazani, Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph – Brenden is the one leaving me wanting more.”

Brenden Aaronson has more to offer Leeds United

Three goals and one assist is by no means a terrible return for Aaronson this season, but he has too often struggled to make an impact in recent games.

His goal against Watford in the 2-1 win was a rare highlight, but it was another below-par showing in the goalless draw with Bristol City at the weekend.

Daniel Farke has many players to choose from in the final third, and it will be interesting to see if he opts for a different combination come the visit of Plymouth Argyle next weekend.

In other Leeds United news, a deal for Jonathan Rowe is still doable.
