Paul Robinson: Predicted Leeds United starting XI v Burnley

Paul Robinson believes that Marcelo Bielsa will make three changes to the Leeds United side that beat Tottenham 3-1 last weekend.

He said he was surprised that Bielsa didn’t make changes for the Spurs game after some players ‘disgraced’ themselves against Brighton.

However, he said that ultimately that turned out to be some clever man-management.

Down to a man, the Leeds players put in a brilliant performance against Tottenham, however Robinson doesn’t think that will save three of them from being axed against Burnley.

Marcelo Bielsa confirmed on Thursday that Rodrigo, Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips are all fit and Robinson thinks all three will come straight back into the side.

Talking exclusively to MOT Leeds News Robinson said, “I think Bielsa will make changes for the Burnley game – Rodrigo, Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips are all fit and I think all three will start.

“I was very surprised Bielsa didn’t change the team from Brighton, I was there and I saw first hand how poor Leeds were.

“It was almost like the headmaster saying, ‘Okay, you disgraced yourself last week so go out there and put the wrongs right.’

“He didn’t change the team that was so poor against Brighton, he gave them a chance to put things right and it proved to be a clever piece of man-management.

“But, with Kalvin Phillips, Rodrigo and Raphinha fit, they’re your three best players, they go straight back into the side.”

This is the starting XI that Robinson expects Bielsa to put out on Saturday…
