Daniel Farke ‘under pressure’ at Leeds as expectation claim made
Daniel Farke will be feeling the pressure to deliver promotion for Leeds United following their draw at home to West Brom.
A 1-1 draw against West Brom at Elland Road allowed Sheffield United to reduce the gap to three points with their victory against QPR, showcasing that the race for automatic promotion is far from over yet.
Leeds remain in the driving seat to achieve it, though their performance against the Baggies certainly saw some mild concerns emerge ahead of the final 11 games of the season.
Having failed to achieve promotion last time out, the minimum expectation for Farke will be to deliver that this season, and he will be feeling the pressure as a result of that.

Leeds simply must achieve promotion
Leeds fans certainly deserve to see their team back in the top flight, but as always, with the Championship, there will be many more twists and turns.
However, very few will be hoping for promotion quite as much as Farke, with Paul Robinson explaining why the German has come under scrutiny at times this season.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Robinson said: “You’re always going to be under pressure at Leeds United because the minimum expectation is promotion. When you’re in the Championship, it’s a club that should be in the Premier League.
Championship top two | W | L | D | GF | GA |
Leeds United (76 points) | 22 | 10 | 3 | 72 | 23 |
Sheffield United (73 points) | 23 | 6 | 6 | 50 | 27 |
“I don’t even imagine there’s going to be huge wild celebrations for getting into the Premier League because it’s a job done. We’re now back where we belong. We move on.
“I think when there was a run of indifferent results and the team weren’t performing to the level that you would expect, that’s when Daniel Farke is going to become under pressure because at Leeds United, as I say, you have to achieve.
“He’s got to be given credit for what he’s done and even more credit if they do go up.“

Leeds must utilise Elland Road advantage
Five of the remaining 11 Championship fixtures for the Whites will be at Elland Road, and if they can win them, it’s hard to see a scenario in which Leeds don’t finish at the summit of the Championship.
Given recent results, it’s very easy to get carried away, but the job is far from finished yet, and the Whites need to stay focused.
Promotion will be a necessity for Leeds this season, and they remain in pole position to go on and achieve that.
