Daniel Farke to make big call for Leeds United’s trip to Hillsborough
Leeds United turn their attention to the Carabao Cup clash with Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday evening.
Off the back of Leeds’ 5-0 defeat away to Arsenal, attentions now turn to the Carabao Cup, with a Yorkshire Derby on the horizon.
Leeds face Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough upon their entry to the competition, and while Premier League results will take priority, this clash is an excellent opportunity to get back to winning ways.
With that in mind, Daniel Farke could make a big call for the Whites ahead of their trip to Hillsborough, and it would go against the grain.

This article includes exclusive comments from former Leeds United goalkeeper Paul Robinson.
Leeds United could name full-strength team to face Sheffield Wednesday
With 10 new signings checking in at Elland Road this summer, and more to come, Leeds certainly have the depth to compete in the cup competitions.
Leeds are favourites for the clash against Sheffield Wednesday, and Paul Robinson has urged Farke to name a strong starting 11, with sights set on reaching the next round.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, he said: “They’ve got Sheffield Wednesday tonight, which I don’t think will be a priority for Daniel Farke.
“Winning a domestic trophy would be great for the club, but be realistic and keep Leeds in the Premier League.
“But saying that, it’s a massive Yorkshire derby where you’d like him to play a strong team at this stage of the season because all the players are fit.
“There’s no fatigue there really. So you want them to get through this round.”

James Justin and three others could make full debut at Hillsborough
Leeds completed the signing of James Justin from Leicester on Monday, and he could feature for the first time against the Owls.
Summer signings Noah Okafor, Jaka Bijol, and Sean Longstaff are also in line to make their first starts, having yet to have been handed their full debut.
Aside from that, Farke has little reason to rotate beyond the Leeds side that fell to defeat against Arsenal, especially so early into the season.
Winning mentality is crucial for a side expected to be at the bottom of the Premier League, and tonight’s encounter is a perfect chance to capture that.
