Daniel Farke causes surprise already over decision taken on new Leeds United star
Daniel Farke made one particularly interesting decision in Leeds United’s pre-season.
A summer of change has all led to Monday night’s game, when Leeds United host Everton at Elland Road on their return to the Premier League.
Farke is expected to hand out several Leeds debuts, with the Whites having signed eight new players so far this summer, with more to come.
However, a decision made by the German in Leeds’ 1-1 draw with AC Milan has already caused confusion, and it is in regard to one of those new signings that is expected to start on Monday night.

This article includes exclusive comments from former Leeds United goalkeeper Paul Robinson.
Anton Stach was taking Leeds’ set-pieces vs AC Milan
The signing of Anton Stach looks to be an excellent one for Leeds, and will almost definitely soften the blow of missing out on Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki to Sunderland.
Stach has already impressed, having scored a screamer in their pre-season friendly with AC Milan, though Farke’s decision to have the giant on set-pieces has caused confusion, and Paul Robinson struggled to see the logic behind it.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, he said: “I think with Stach, they’ve got a really high-quality midfielder.
“Defensively, he is not afraid to put a tackle in. There’s a bit of grit. There’s a bite in his play, and that aggression is going to be needed. I was really, really impressed with him in pre-season.
“I was surprised that Farke had him taking set plays because he was an addition defensively when defending set-plays. And I was thinking he’d have an attacking threat in the box as well.
“But I was really impressed with him and I’m looking forward to see what he brings to the team in the Premier League.”

Stach’s aeiral presence must be used vs Everton
Sunderland’s 3-0 win over West Ham showcased that this year’s promoted teams can achieve something special, though it will all come down to decisions on the pitch.
Having Stach as a threat in the box for set-pieces is going to be crucial, and Farke needs to utilise that against the Toffees.
Chances are going to be hard to come by, and Leeds are going to have to make the most of the set plays throughout the clash.
He is one of several debutants expected at Elland Road, in what will undoubtedly be a momentous night under the lights.
