49ers may make Daniel Farke sack U-turn, Leeds exit remains on the cards – Exclusive
Daniel Farke could still find himself sacked as Leeds United manager in the coming months.
Now that promotion has been sealed, Leeds will have already turned their attention to recruitment planning ahead of the summer transfer window.
There is a lot of work to be done at Elland Road to get the Whites prepared for life back in the Premier League, but as it stands, that will involve Farke.
Paraag Marathe recently stated that he would remain in charge, but that could change in an instant depending on one circumstance.

Leeds need to get off to a good start in Premier League
Farke’s record as a Premier League manager is a grim read, and that was said to be a consideration made when Leeds were considering sacking him.
However, the German will stay at Elland Road for the time being, and will have the backing of Leeds, but Paul Robinson thinks they won’t be afraid to make a change if things start to turn for the worse.
Speaking to MOT Leeds News, he said: “They don’t back him unconditionally. They give him an opportunity in the Premier League because he deserves that opportunity. They give him the finances, they give him the players, they give him the recruitment that he needs and that they believe as a club that he needs to succeed in the Premier League.
Premier League | P | W | D | L |
Farke | 49 | 6 | 8 | 35 |
“Now with the 49ers, with the ownership, the structure of the club, that club has to be a Premier League club. If there is any sign that it’s not going to be a Premier League club, then things will have to change.
“He will be given the backing, he’ll be given the players, he’ll be given the support. But at some point, whether it be November, October, December, January, whenever it may be, when Leeds United are looking like things aren’t going right, results aren’t great, things are turning against the manager, that’s when it will change.
“If three, four months into the season, things are not going well, you do everything you can to stay in the Premier League. If that means removing the manager, you do it.”

Leeds must be ruthless in Premier League
Surviving in the Premier League is a tough task, and to achieve that, sometimes you need to make harsh decisions, and that will involve Farke.
As soon as it looks like the odds are stacking against their survival chances, they need to make a change, and the same goes for recruitment.
Leeds need to recruit well to ensure that they avoid any situation like that, and cement their status s a Premier League side.
