Daniel Farke fine update emerges after recent Leeds United complaints
Daniel Farke will have faced minimal financial punishment from his bookings after recent complaints at Leeds United, Dan Plumley has said.
The German was recently booked in the 1-1 draw at Preston after a shocking challenge from Ben Whiteman went unpunished, admitting he has been booked more frequently this season.
Plumley, a football finance expert, shared that fines for cautions are set by the FA and may actually only cost him £10 in terms of punishments at Elland Road.
“It’s minimal in terms of finance,” he exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“I think he’s having a wider dig at what he perceives as the standard of refereeing.
“I believe it’s uniform across all levels of the game because it’s actually set by the FA in terms of fines per card, and it’s really minimal.
“A yellow card is £10, two yellows is £35 and a red card is £55.

“What clubs can also do over the top of that is they can impose their own fines, they tend to do that with players, so they may dock them one week’s wages and of course, players get suspended at certain points.
“It’s different for managers, but in terms of finances, it’s really minimal as it’s actually set by the FA.”

This isn’t the first time Farke has complained about how officials treat his Leeds side, admitting he was sent plenty of PGMOL letters for wrong decisions last season.
The Whites bounced back with a crushing 4-0 victory over Oxford on 21 December, sitting second as they enter the busy period between Christmas and New Year.
