Dan James injury update shared ahead of Leeds United v Cardiff City
Dan James may require a late fitness test to be cleared to play for Leeds United against Cardiff City on 21 September, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that his setback does not appear to sound serious and the last game just seemed to come too early for him.
Ahead of the loss against Burnley, Daniel Farke claimed that he was hoping the Welshman would be available in time for that game.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about James:
“His injury doesn’t sound overly serious based on both player and manager’s comments.
“Looks like the aim was to return following the break and the first game back might have come too soon.
“Obviously, the best updates are the ones that come from the club but he may be touch and go for the next one and would perhaps require a late fitness test just in case.“
Dan James adds something different to the Leeds United attack
The 26-year-old has been a go-to option for Farke this season and even last season, he played in 43 league games.
His output was also pretty impressive as he found the back of the net on 13 occasions and provided seven assists.

Hopefully, he can have a similar impact and guide Leeds to promotion as the side have lacked that cutting edge in the final third this season.
In other Leeds United news, the San Francisco 49ers may decide to pull the trigger on 21 September as Daniel Farke battles the sack at Elland Road.
