Dan James injury news emerges ahead of Leeds United v Norwich City

Leeds United attacker Dan James is not expected to play the 90 minutes against Norwich City on 16 Mat, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that despite the Wales international returning in the first leg off the bench, he is still not at 100 per cent.

James was ruled out with a costal rib and oblique tear which is understood to be a very painful injury.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about James:

In general, the injuries he recovered from – costal rib and oblique tear – are very painful.

It was a positive that he returned to the bench and even played a few minutes as it will definitely build up sharpness.

However, he is certainly not yet at 100 per cent and I do not see him being able to play the full 90 minutes in the second leg.

If Leeds do make it to the final, there is a chance as he will have a considerable amount of rest and potentially high-intensity training to get him up to speed.

Dan James can be the difference-maker for Leeds United off the bench

The 26-year-old has played 41 league games this season and has scored 13 goals and provided seven assists for the Whites.

13 of his appearances have come off the bench and he could once again be brought on by Daniel Farke to have an impact on the outcome of the game.
