Crysencio Summerville injury update emerges for Leeds United v Norwich clash

Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville is not likely to have any issues playing 90 minutes v Norwich City, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the Dutchman faced the risk of an ankle fracture and potential surgery as well due to a challenge on him by Kamaldeen Sulemana in the Southampton clash on Saturday, 4 May.

However, he was unscathed and is expected to be available for the entire game in the first leg of the play-offs on 12 May.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Summerville:

The worst case scenario would have been an ankle fracture and an unstable ankle that required surgery.

He’s certainly fortunate, as it was a horrific and nasty challenge.

I don’t think this should impact his ability to play the 90 minutes over the weekend, particularly if he’s not feeling any knock-on effects.

Leeds United fortunate as Crysencio Summerville avoids injury blow

The Whites missed their chance to seal automatic promotion and will now have to go through the play-offs in order to qualify.

The 22-year-old has played a crucial role in guiding Leeds to third, scoring 19 goals and providing nine assists in 43 games.

He’s expected to be leading the Whites’ charge on Sunday and hopefully can put in three more solid performances to get his side back to the Premier League.
