We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United
Paul Robinson has said that Nicolas Tagliafico would be a “brilliant signing” for Leeds United as they look for a new left-back.
Leeds have been linked with a move for the 28-year-old Argentina international by the Daily Mail who claimed that he could be available for as little as £13m.

AS also linked Leeds with Tagliafico this week and said that the Whites had made a ‘major breakthrough’ after entering the bidding for a summer move.

Talking exclusively to MOT Leeds News Robinson said, “Leeds need a left-back and they have to go for a top-quality player.
“There’s the young French left-back Romain Perraud but Nicolas Tagliafico absolutely fits the bill too.
“Against Man United, you saw the defensive weakness down that side for Leeds.
“Alioski was targeted and he was caught out of position.
“Leeds know that it’s a position that needs addressing, especially after the noises Alioksi has made about leaving.
“Alioski knows that his career at Leeds is coming to an end and Tagliafico would be a brilliant signing for Leeds.”
Alioski’s contract is up in the summer and so far he’s not signed the offer on the table from Leeds.
Athletic journalist Phil Hay said he was “absolutely certain” that Leeds will sign a new left-back in the summer.
We would take either Perraud or Tagliafico – both would be a major upgrade on Alioski.
