Brenden Aaronson to be axed by Jesse Marsch, ‘he’s cost Leeds United’ – Sky Sports pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Jesse Marsch should drop Brenden Aaronson for the next few Leeds United matches due to poor form, according to Paul Robinson.
Aaronson, 22, started brightly at Elland Road after joining from Red Bull Salzburg in the summer.
However, the attacking midfielder’s form since the World Cup break ended has taken a turn for the worst and that’s led to Robinson wanting the USA international to be axed from Marsch’s starting line-up starting this weekend against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup.

Speaking to MOT Leeds News, Robinson said: “The team isn’t as wide open as they were and there are a couple of players in there [doing well].
“There are some decisions Marsch needs to make to get results and Aaronson, for me, he’s got to change him in the next few games – if not, the next game.
“He’s cost Leeds defensively at times and is lacking an end product.”

Aaronson has started all 19 of Leeds’ Premier League fixtures this season but has returned just one goal and two assists.
Since August, he’s only been directly involved in one goal and that was when he set up Crysencio Summerville’s opener in the 4-3 defeat to Tottenham in November.
Marsch has played his fellow American as an attacking midfielder, winger and striker but it seems he’s struggling to find a way for the ‘Medford Messi’ to contribute to goals in the way he did back at Salzburg.
Leeds paid £24.7million to sign Aaronson in the summer [Sky Sports].
