Adam Forshaw was ‘best player on the pitch’ in Leeds United win v Burnley – pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United...
Paul Robinson was blown away by Adam Forshaw’s performance as Leeds United won 3-1 against Burnley at Elland Road on Sunday.
Forshaw, 30, completed 90 minutes for the seventh consecutive Premier League game as his remarkable form continues despite returning from a near-two-year injury earlier this term.
Ex-Leeds goalkeeper Robinson was at Elland Road yesterday and got to see Forshaw in person as the midfielder shone against Burnley.

And he feels as though the ex-Middlesbrough man was Leeds’ man of the match in the victory.
Speaking to MOT Leeds News about Forshaw, Robinson said: “Since he’s come back, he’s been outstanding.
“We’re missing Kalvin Phillips until March now so since his return to the side, his form has been outstanding.
“The ground he covers considering he’s been out for so long, it was incredible watching him first-hand yesterday at Elland Road.
“He was the best player on the pitch and has been for a number of weeks now.”

Forshaw has impressed in almost every match since returning from injury and has arguably been the club’s best player this season.
While Raphinha’s goals have kept the Whites’ head above the water in what has been a testing first half to the Premier League season, Forshaw’s midfield displays have gone above and beyond expectations and give us a little bit of hope while Phillips is sidelined for another few months.
In other Leeds United news, this senior ace is reportedly on his way out of Elland Road despite Bielsa’s wishes.
