49ers urged to back Daniel Farke as Leeds United issue emerges already

Leeds United need to continue their activity in the transfer window.

The Elland Road outfit have added height and physicality to their ranks, with Leeds already signing Anton Stach and Jaka Bijol.

Leeds’ most recent addition was Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who was signed on a free transfer after his Everton exit back in June.

However, the 49ers Enterprises need to keep adding until Daniel Farke is totally satisfied with his squad.

Leeds need to bring in more attackers

Farke has spoken out about the lack of depth in the attacking positions, and given Leeds’ interest in Noah Okafor, it seems like they are trying to resolve that.

Darke believes that the ownership needs to hand Farke what he wants and bring fresh impetus into the front three.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, he said: “He has been very vociferous, he is going public at every opportunity, telling the board that they need more attacking signings, so I think he is clearly worried about their ability to stick the ball in the back of the net.

“You would like to think that Leeds will bring in one or two more in that department, because if you cannot stick the ball in the back of the net, that is a pretty big issue if you are trying to stay afloat in the division.

“They have made it clear that Patrick Bamford is not part of their plans. They have let Mateo Joseph go to Real Mallorca. I would say they need a couple more signings up front, and maybe one fairly big one.

Leeds are doomed if they fail to add new forwards

The starting options for the Whites have proven themselves at Championship level, but there are huge question marks over the likes of Dan James and Joel Piroe in the top-flight.

If the 49ers fail to add sufficient quality to Farke’s options at the front end of the pitch, it could be a very long season for supporters.

There are still two weeks remaining for them to bring in what Farke needs, so all hope is not lost just yet, but it will be a nervous wait.
