Wednesday training video provides clues for expected Leeds team v Blackburn

Leeds United released a video of the squad training on Wednesday and it’s been poured over by the eagle-eyed Leeds fans here to get clues about who might and might not be fit for the game against Blackburn on Saturday.

Eddie Nketiah is missing and that’s not a surprise. His injury is now being rumoured to be something eye-watering and he won’t be back until the end of the month.

Patrick Bamford was present, although we didn’t spot him putting the ball in the back of the net in training either.

Tyler Roberts was there and Pablo Hernandez was also present and correct, and we can see him starting on Saturday after a cameo appearance against QPR.

Adam Forshaw and Jamie Shackleton were both missing. Forshaw has been out for the last six games so probably wouldn’t have featured on Saturday anyway. Shackleton has a quad problem that he picked up in training and it doesn’t look like he’ll be back for Saturday either.

Ezgjan Alioski didn’t seem to be in training but we did spot Barry Douglas, and that’s good news for the left side of defence. Stuart Dallas was named as left-back last week but moved into midfield after kick-off, with Jack Harrison given responsibility for the whole of the left side.

Given this information, this is the starting XI we think Marcelo Bielsa will put out on Saturday, with just the one change: Pablo Hernandez for Helder Costa.
