Leeds United fans will love what Kalvin Phillips said at full-time after the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace last night [April 25].
Jesse Marsch’s side was held to a 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park amid their relegation battle.
It was a lacklustre display from the Whites but the point was enough to see them extend their lead on the Premier League relegation zone to five points.
The highlight of the night was Phillips featuring from the start, at long last, having been out injured with a hamstring injury and Leeds fans will love what he said post-match.
The midfielder said as per Football Daily: “Personally, I don’t think the team played as well as it could do but we defended well in the end.
“Didn’t create much as a team but I think this was always going to be a tough place to come after the defeat they had last week.
“Happy with the point but not really happy with the performance.”
He added: “We wanted to come here and win.”
Leader.
The main man is back and setting the tempo for the rest of the players already.
It would be easy for the Whites players to rest on their laurels having picked up a hard-fought point against a good team, at a very tricky ground.

Even for Phillips, he could have given a boring interview saying how nice it was to be back out on the pitch and playing after a long absence but he never.
The England international was adamant that the Whites could and should have done better and the fans will love that.
His honesty shone through after the game and that is the type of attitude Marsch will need on and off the pitch as the American looks to put as much distance between his side and the relegation zone.
It is a massive boost having Phillips back, hopefully, he can lead the team to a couple more wins before the end of the season.
