Three players Leeds United can sign after missing out on Charles de Ketelaere

Leeds United are going through a mixed transfer window where they’ve already signed more than six players but have also lost Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips.

To replace the goals scored by one of them and help Patrick Bamford, the Whites have been liked with Club Brugge winger Charles de Ketelaere.

However, according to the latest report from La Gazzetta Dello Sport print edition on July 18, Leeds are now set to miss out on the Belgium international who is just keen on moving to AC Milan.

We are bringing you a list of three potential alternatives to De Ketelaere Leeds can turn to in the ongoing transfer window.

Alternatives

Ben Brereton Diaz

Leeds have been linked with Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton Diaz, according to AS. The striker scored 22 goals and provided three assists in 37 appearances in the previous campaign for the club.

He averaged 2.8 shots per goal and had a pass completion rate of 73.5% and had an average rating of 7.06, according to Whoscored.

Martin Terrier

Another player the Whites have been linked with is Rennes striker Martin Terrier, according to L’equipe.

The 25-year-old was one of the most in-form attacking players in Ligue 1 in the 2021-22 season where he managed to score 21 goals and provided three assists in 37 appearances [Transfermarkt].

Arnaud Kalimuendo

Leeds have also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker Arnaud Kalimuendo, according to 90min.

In 32 appearances for Lens in Ligue 1 last season where he was playing on loan, he managed to score 12 goals and had a rating of 6.69 according to Whoscored.

Conclusion

Leeds recently lost Raphinha on a big-money move, who was one of their most consistent attacking players last season.

Even though they have signed Luis Sinisterra from Feyenoord, who plays in a similar role, they would still need more assurance going into the next season considering the Colombia international have no prior experience of playing in England.

Out of all the above-mentioned players, Diaz seems to be the most ideal fit because not only he can be a backup for Bamford who had injury concerns last season but he can also play in wide areas if there is a need.
